GENERAL STORE

The Strathbogie General Store has been standing in the same spot for over one hundred years and is a must do experience when you visit Strathbogie. 

Family owned and run and super friendly, the Store offers great coffee, exquisite food and local produce plus a fantastic range of local wines and beers.

It's fully licensed and you can eat in or takeaway.

 

Friday night fish and chips are a highlight.

MT WOMBAT LOOKOUT

Mt Wombat lookout offers excellent 360 degree views of the area from the plateau on top of Mt Wombat (799 metres). The Waranga Basin and Goulburn Weir at Nagambie are both visible from the lookout. It is reached from Euroa-Strathbogie Road. The turn-off is signposted and the road allows you to drive right to the top. Alternatively you can park halfway up and enjoy a pleasant walk. There are picnic spots along the way.

AERONAUTICAL SIGN

Erected in 1936 by local school students and recently featured in The Age as one of the quirkiest things in Victoria's Heritage Register. There is also another interesting article by The Euroa Gazette at the following link

POLLY MCQUINNS

A must-see location for visitors to the Strathbogie Tableland, Polly McQuinns Weir offers everything you need for a beautiful, scenic walk, picnic outing or even a swim. One of the most attractive natural swimming holes in Victoria, picturesque Polly McQuinns is located on Seven Creeks.

It lies four kilometres south-east of Strathbogie.

BRIDGE TO BRIDGE WALK

Adjacent to the Strathbogie township, this beautiful 2.2km return bushwalk travels alongside permanent waterways and offers opportunities to view

unique flora and fauna.

Wander through soaring peppermint and manna gum forests, relax and enjoy.

HERITAGE TRAIL

Strathbogie has a rich and fascinating history you can take in on a gentle stroll around town, reading the 11 Interpretative Panels on display. Visit the old Blacksmith's, the creamery and many other interesting landmarks.
